Youth Dance Group - Jugendtanzgruppe

The Transylvania Dance Group consists of our youth ages 14 - 23. They perform traditional folk dances throughout the year in two different costumes: the traditional Transylvanian Tracht (folk costume) and German Dirndl and Lederhosen. They take part in multi-cultural events, Oktoberfest, raise money for charities and are very active in our daily club life. In addition to performing throughout the USA and Ontario and most recently Austria and Germany, they have taken on the responsibility of being ambassadors for the club during visits of youth from across Europe and the United States.

We'd like to congratulate our new 2011 Miss Transylvania, Melanie Gondosch (at right, seen here with 2010 Miss, Lisa Fritsch).

They meet every Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. to practice folk dancing and socialize. Their president for 2010 is Kris Lowrick.
